Manifesto of Planetary Health
Human health cannot exist in isolation from the health of the planet. We propose a transition from reactive, disease-focused medicine to a proactive, holistic approach where well-being is seen as a state of dynamic harmony between the individual, society, and the biosphere.
Key Principles:
- One Health: The health of people, animals, and ecosystems is inextricably linked. Our goal is salutogenic medicine, which focuses not on fighting disease, but on creating the conditions for health at all levels.
- Proactive Bioethics: Technologies like genetic engineering and AI are developing faster than our ethical understanding. We must proactively develop global ethical frameworks to guide these technologies, ensuring they serve the advancement of consciousness and systemic harmony, not division and degradation.
- Mental Health as a Priority: A healthy society is impossible without psychologically healthy people. We advocate for prioritizing mental health, reducing societal stress, and creating an environment that fosters mindfulness and emotional resilience.
